“Evolution of a Brother”
Brother for Life. That's a long time. But, that's what they say. Once you're initiated into Alpha Rho Chi, you're a brother. For life.
But, just because you're a brother for life doesn't mean you're the SAME brother for life. We grow up. We change. As we evolve as people, so do we evolve as brothers.
Sure, there are some landmarks. When you get pinned in, you go from Recruit to Pledge. When you get initiated you go from Pledge to Active Brother. And when you graduate, you go from Active Brother to Alumni Brother. But what about the times in between? You're still growing, still changing.
"The Evolution of a Brother" will touch on every chronological aspect of Brotherhood, from recruitment, to pledging, to initiation, to active membership, to alumni membership. We'll discuss what each stage means, to a brother, to their chapter, to the Fraternity as a whole. This workshop will serve as an opportunity to share what you've learned during your time in Alpha Rho Chi, and learn what lies ahead.
Brad Garner, Associate Principal from Rhodeside and Harwell
Brooke Park Tour
(Included in registration fee)
Grand Lecturer and WGA
Ritual Session
This is a topic in which we are all heavily invested. This year’s session will focus primarily on the “Prelude” and “Act I” of our Ritual. We’ll share best practices (and how to avoid pitfalls), logistics, stage directions, questions, fears(?), etc. This highly interactive session is one that no brother should miss!!
Saturday
Jason Kasparek
“How We Plan”
A yearly strategic planning session is a must for chapters and alumni associations to tackle the coming year with success. This session will show you one way of holding a planning session, and will cover the basics of goal-setting, brainstorming, prioritization, and scheduling. Armed with these tools, you and your brothers should be able to create a wildly successful plan that will help you be the organization you've always wanted to be.
Andrea Hauber
“Network-Inside and Out”
In our closing session, “Networking Ins and Outs,” we will review the networking experiences of the weekend, cover How To’s for networking outside conferences, practice networking, and learn how to share this information with your chapters back at home.
