You can always depend on a brother; there are bonds that tie us together.

The bonds that you make with your chapter extend far beyond home – Alpha Rho Chi is truly an international brotherhood and when transferring to new cities or countries, there is an instant connection between Brothers just meeting for the first time. Pledges attending the various Fraternity functions around the nation consistently comment on the special bond they feel, even though they aren't members yet.

In the design professions, getting a great job, or foothold in the profession after college, is all about networking. There’s a lot to be said for the phrase, “It’s not what you know, but who you know.” One must obviously possess the skills necessary to successfully compete in the design professions, but the more people you make a connection with, the better off you are going to be.

A very typical example involving APX: Two students from University A intend to move to Seattle to find work as architects. One is an APX brother, the other is not. Several chapters provide the APX Brother with contact information for Brothers who are hiring in the Seattle area. We wish the other guy good luck. He's going to need it.
