Grand Council announces Social Media Coordinator position. Applications due September 1st.

 

Functions and Responsibilities of the Social Media Coordinator

Develops, manages and strategically executes a comprehensive social media program

Creates, edits and distributes relevant content across social media platforms to engage members, potential members, industry partners, educators and other professional programs

Regularly monitors and interacts with social media users in a time sensitive manner

Required Technical Skills and Abilities

  • Advanced knowledge of social media platforms, including:
    • Facebook
    • Twitter
    • Instagram
    • YouTube
    • Pinterest
    • LinkedIn
  • Knowledge of social media principles, including user interaction and online etiquette
  • Familiarity with photo/video editing and document creation software

Required Personal Skills

  • Demonstrated outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Commitment to detail
  • Time available to develop, post, and actively manage social media, including occasional monitoring and response actions during the regular business day, evenings, and weekends
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with other members of the fraternity and the profession of architecture and its allied fields
  • Ability to manage and coordinate multiple requests for service from decision makers
  • Ability to undertake or continue a task with little supervision

Additional Desired Skills

  • Knowledge of brand management and development and social media analytics
  • Experience leading social media campaigns
  • Public relations, marketing, or outreach experience in a paid or volunteer setting

Term of Appointment

As soon as appointed through June 30, 2016 (may be appointed for additional term(s) on an annual basis)

Eligibility

Membership in Alpha Rho Chi, current on all fiscal commitments to Alpha Rho Chi.
